During the first appointment, I want to learn as much as possible about not only your health conditions and symptoms, but what lead up to the development of them. We will talk about your health history, family history, your lifestyle, mental health, and what your life is like. I will review your medications and supplements. Once I have gotten all of the information I can through our conversation, I may feel that I need more information (past labs, new labs - that we will discuss how you best attain, past medical records, etc.). Regardless, we will discuss my assessment of where you are, where we are going, and the next steps in getting there.
Note that I do not provide primary or medical care. I recommend that everyone have a primary care provider on-board to fulfill that role. My role is to act as a holistic health consultant. |
